The psychologist Selma opens a practice for psychotherapy in Tunis. The project initially meets with scepticism and resistance - but also with great interest. After all, the Tunisian population's need to talk is enormous in the years following the revolution. However, the curiosities and colourful characters of the old homeland are by no means only encountered in the therapeutic sessions. And so she meets, among others, a highly emotional beauty salon owner with mother complexes, a depressed imam, a man with political-erotic dreams, a mysterious stranger with Freudian traits, an immoral policeman and her feminist niece, who is just in time for her headscarf after a failed visit to the hairdresser...
