Kulturbox Klosters
The American born Rosemary Singleton Rauber graduated from the University of Missouri in 1981 where she studied Painting Drawing and Photography. Her work has been shown in one man and group shows in Switzerland and in the USA.
Material and Technique
Rosemary Singleton Rauber paints with acrylic on canvas. Ms. Rauber is well trained, especially in photography. Often, she uses the photos she takes to create scenes with paint and brushes that result in a bigger statement. Diversity is a theme that is at the center of her work. With her paintings she creates situations with a positive attitude, with canvases full of confidence, sunshine and color, with engaging, and dynamic compositions.
You see the people in her paintings with different ethnicities but with a presence and dignity that is natural in the surroundings. The figures in her paintings radiate a live and let live attitude.
Frau Rauber has created a new series of paintings that are small format for the Klosters Kulturbox and pay homage to the 800 year Klosters Anniversary.
