Germain is enjoying life in retirement when he unexpectedly becomes a widower at the age of 75. Out of concern for his well-being, his children now interfere in his daily life. But their constant visits, phone calls and organised meals take his breath away. He pretends to play along, but secretly pursues another plan by keeping a promise he made to his wife: Germain applies to a contemporary dance company for her role.
